Nearly four years ago, as I was setting up my SECOND craft show table EVER, I began to notice the artist next to me. She had amazing vintage pieces and paper work that I couldn’t stop gawking at. As a bookmaker myself I should have moved (as you don’t often set up shop next to someone in your same genre) but I was so enthralled with she and her step-father’s work that I couldn’t possibly move – and me not moving was one of the best decisions of my life because I met Emily of Brainchild Designs and now I’m excited to push her to keep working and making these WONDERFUL and AMAZING boxes and handmade books to show at Gathering. Her craftsmanship is stellar, her style solid, and well, honestly she’s just amazing.
