Summer means freedom. Every year as the winter turns into spring, I start dreaming of all the places I want to go. Here’s a few of my road trip essentials.
Idea or theme: I like to be creative in my planning. World’s biggest ketchup bottle? Route 66? Native American pueblos? I design a trip around what I want to experience.
Tunes: This is a just a given. These are examples and by no means exhaustive. My road trips mixes end up in hours and hours of music. With iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, and other music apps, we now have it all at the tips of our fingers. No more tape decks or CDs required (although I still have them-I’m nostalgic).
Journal: I always take a journal when traveling. Conduit Press handmade journals (available at Gather : handmade shoppe) make a perfect road trip buddy.
Apps: Technology can be a benefit especially when traveling. I just try not to rely on it too much, but if helps me not run out of gas in the middle of nowhere, then I am all for it.
